What we were not told is
What we were not told is that 893 mb equates to 160 knots which is actually 184 mph and not the 175 mph that it was measured at. Of course the 175 was the fastest winds measured. Did you know that Hurricane Rita pulled a buoy right out of the water and then taught it to fly? No, you did not hear that did you. It is only now coming out that over 105 Oil Rigs were badly damaged and some not salvageable.
In fact judging by the Categories of Hurricanes and the Saffir-Simpson Scale; Hurricane Rita would have topped the Cat five winds. It should have been a Category Six, which does not exist, category five being the highest. But what do you call 184 miles per hour winds. This means Hurricane Rita would have been Super Hurricane Rita, for it was no normal Hurricane, not by a long shot.
